AzwajApp

Child Safety Standards

Last updated: October 6, 2026

This is a working draft to launch with — please have it reviewed by qualified legal counsel for your jurisdiction before this becomes the live policy for paying users.

1. Our commitment

AzwajApp is a marriage platform for adults aged 18 and over. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form. Any content, conduct, or account that sexualizes, grooms, exploits, endangers, or seeks to contact a minor is prohibited.

2. Preventing minors from using the Service

  • Every account must give a date of birth at sign-up, and accounts under 18 cannot be created — this is enforced by our servers, not only in the app.
  • Members can verify their identity with a live photo and an ID document, reviewed by our team.
  • Guardian (wali) accounts can only manage adult women; a ward's date of birth is checked by the same 18+ rule.
  • Profile photos are shown only under our modesty rules, and any member can report a photo for removal.

3. Reporting

Anyone can report a profile or conversation from inside the app using Report, including the dedicated reason “Seems to be underage”. Reports are confidential and reviewed by our moderation team within 24 hours. Reports involving a minor are treated as the highest priority.

You can also report a child safety concern directly by email at [email protected] — please include the profile name and as much detail as you can.

4. How we respond

  • Content involving the abuse or exploitation of a minor is removed as soon as we become aware of it, and the account responsible is permanently banned.
  • Banned accounts are added to our identity blocklist so the same email, phone number, or ID document cannot be used to sign up again.
  • We report apparent child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to the relevant law enforcement and regulatory authorities where we operate, and we preserve the related records as the law requires.
  • Accounts that appear to belong to a minor are removed, together with their data.

5. Compliance with the law

AzwajApp complies with the child safety laws that apply to it, and cooperates with law enforcement requests relating to child safety.

6. Child safety point of contact

Our designated point of contact for child safety, including for regulators and law enforcement, can be reached at [email protected]
